COVID-19 Response TO
Neighbors in NEED

  • Starting in April 2020 Millstone Kitchen pivoted to respond to increased food insecurity amidst COVID-19. Thanks to an overwhelming response in donations and grant funding we are continuing to serve meals to vulnerable individuals and families in the New River Valley. 
  • We are partnering with HazelBea Catering and On Site Culinary to prepare fresh meals, especially important for those who are relying largely on non-perishable items. This program allows us to support small businesses and their staff at a time when most food businesses are shutting their doors or lowering capacity.
  • We have a variety of community partners who are able to distribute meals to  neighbors in need. We are currently partnering with the NRV Diaper PantryNewport Community Center, Future Economy Collective, Christiansburg Parks and Recreation, Warm Hearth Village, The Y at Virginia Tech and the Agency on Aging.
